I've been thinking of all the small things I do here and there to save a penny. Hopefully combining them all they actually save me a good amount of cash. Whether it's while I'm grocery shopping or taking unnecessary trips to Target and Walmart! We all do that right? Well, here's how to save a buck from those trips.
- Reusable bags! If you buy reusable bags from target every time you shop and take your bags they will give you 5cents off per bag!
- Cartwheel app, Download it! Every time you're at the target before you pay scan all your items and get all the coupons you deserve!
- Walmart Savings Catcher, Download the Walmart app then every time you make a purchase scan your receipt and they will do all the price match work for you and give you cash back if you over paid for something.
- Get your kicks! Download the Shopkick app and every time you walk in a store get kicks. That you can use for gift cards.
- FetchRewards, Ibotta, Checkout 51, SavingStar download these apps to scan your receipts for gift cards after a shopping trip.
- PanelApp, download this app. Anywhere you go it will keep track of it and give you points and sometimes it'll have tiny surveys less than a minute long for extra points you can use for gift cards.
- Achievement & Sweatcoin are apps you can download that give you money for walking!
- Sign up for the store's reward programs/cards!
- Check out the clearance. Literally, most stores have a designated clearance area go check it out you might find things you use and you could stock up on.
- Ask for discounts! If the packaging is messed up asking could get a small percentage off. They will sometimes say yes so it's work a try. If your military don't be shy to ask for a military discount.
- I almost forgot! Use coupons! Whether they come from the mail or newspaper or they are a sticker attached to the product make sure you use them!
I think that's all I got for now. If you use these small tips together you may or may not notice a difference, I'm so used to it that it's just routine. As a stay at home wife, I have time to spare to do these things and saving money helps our household to have money for extra fun things! If you don't have that much time to spare pick and choose the ones that will work out for your lifestyle! Let me know any other tips you use when shopping, in the comments.
