Treasure Tuesday | Shopkick

Shopkick has actually been the app that I've used the longest for. Even when I was living back at home with my mom I used to use it. I definitely consider it as one of my most favorite apps. With Shopkick you collect kicks and with kicks, you can use them to get gift cards. There are a lot of different ways to earn kicks, they are improving the app constantly so they have new innovative ways to earn kicks. You won't get bored of it because it's so darn easy and if you play around with it, you'll end up finding a new way to earn kicks.

You can earn kicks by

1. Walking into stores. All you have to do is have your Shopkick app open when you walk into the store they have a bunch to choose from, some of them are Target, Walmart, CVS, Food Lion, Carter's, T.J.Maxx, and so many others! But make sure you have your Bluetooth on I'm not sure how it works but it's what the app says to do. When I had an android phone my walk-ins wouldn't work unless I had Bluetooth on but with my iPhone it does work without Bluetooth. 
2. Scans. So it has an option where you hit scans and it'll have a list of items and all you have to do is find the item in store and scan its barcode, you don't even have to purchase it or anything. You just simply get kicks for scanning the item. When you scan the item if your sound is on it makes a certain like noise. When I'm shopping sometimes I hear other peoples phones make that same noise and it reminds me to remember to get my kicks for being in store. Then I'm like wow this app is very popular because I hear the noise while I'm shopping quite often. Sometimes I go find the item and the barcode is already facing out so I know someone else has been there getting their kicks too.
3. Receipts. You know how there's a list of items well some of the items if you purchase them you get a bigger amount of kicks. All you have to do is scan in your receipts. 
4. Purchases. I don't personally use this one but from what I understand, you link your debit card to the app then when you buy things and pay with the card that's linked to your Shopkick you get kicks. It depends on the store though how many kicks you get or if you get any at all. I didn't link my card cause I found it kind of difficult so I gave up easily but let me know how that works out for you.
5. Shopping online. If you shop through their app you get kicks for doing so. They have a few options available right now like Apple, eBay, Groupon, Jet, and a few others. I think this a newer feature so I don't have personal experience with this one either. 
6. Discover. My favorite most used part. Daily I'll get a notification from Shopkick that they have added new ones. I'm not sure what to call them but they have a discover tab and in it, you can scroll through and click various like themes? It'll show you stuff like shoes then when you open it, it'll be a bunch of shoe options and it'll say where they are from and how much they are and sometimes it'll have a surprise kick when you scroll all the way through. 
7. Referal. You can earn 250 kicks every friend you invite. When they first successfully earn a Shopkick in store is when you'll receive your kicks.

You might find other ways to earn kicks. These are all the ones I can remember right now let me know if you know any other ways.

They have different gift cards to choose from when you are ready to redeem your kicks. Some of the options include Target, Walmart, T.J.Maxx, Best Buy, Amazon, Sephora, Starbucks, Nike, JCPenney, and so many other cool options. You can redeem them starting at $2 - $100. I love the fact that you can redeem your kicks starting at $2 because I am so impatient I rather have $2 Now than $50 in 100years. Also, you get your reward right away when you are ready to redeem just hit redeem and instantly it'll give you a barcode you can use as a gift card at check out. I do it all the time at Walmart. I'll go collect my kicks and then by the time I check out have a $2 gift card.
