$4 DIY Glass Hurricane

I had the idea to do something similar to these a while back and today I found out they sell them at Walmart for almost $12. Thats just wild because you can DIY this with things from the Dollar Tree for a total of $4!

Things you'll need
  1. Glass vase ($1)
  2. Lights ($1)
  3. Batteries ($1)
  4. Mirror ($1)
  5. Glue (optional)
They have all sorts of vases with fun shapes and sizes at Dollar Tree. The lights might be a little bit harder to find but if you get lucky and they'll have them at your local Dollar Tree! They fortunately did have them at my Dollar Tree I bought them a couple weeks ago! You'll need the batteries for your lights but you might have those already laying around your house. Then for the mirror I couldn't find a picture of it. But I know for sure they sell them at Dollar Tree usually I see them by the little candles and picture frame isle. They are just tiny circle mirrors they also have like a square shape but probably the circle ones will work out better.
  1. Then all you do is stuff the vase with the lights you can even put more than one in there if you want, it doesn't even have to be perfect because it looks awesome when it's done messily.
  2. Then you can glue the mirror with hot glue if you want to if not just place the mirror under the vase.
  3. Make sure you keep the lights on and off switch outside the vase so that you'll be able to turn it on and off easily.
Also common sense but you place the vase upside down to make it work and look right. To hide the on and off switch you can place it behind the vase or if you don't like that you can always make it look cute and paint it or wrap it in washi tape or ribbon. There's actually lots of things you can do to hide the switch you'll figure it out. If you glue the mirror and vase together you can hide the glue part with a cute ribbon or bedazzles anything you want! Get creative! & you can recreate this  "$12 Glass Hurricane" from Walmart for under $5!

Let me know if you like this DIY & if you'll try it out. If you do post it on Instagram or Twitter and tag me in it so I can check it out!
