All those moving tips and when it came down to it I felt so unprepared! Might have been because our move in date was earlier than expected. But I think it's fine for it to feel like a hot mess after and during moving. Also, I'm sick of moving so I think it's also fine to take a break. I feel like I unpacked a lot and there's still so much to do! Besides that, I love the new place love it a lot! Really glad we ended up switching the apartment. That's the reason I didn't post last week I was busy moving and then it was the weekend so I try and spend that with my wife as much as possible.
I really want to make a post how I organized my kitchen going from having a small pantry to no pantry at all. It actually went better than expected we have lots of cabinet space and that made up for it.
I also went from having a walk in closet with lots of shelves to just a long regular closet with a top shelf and for some reason, I have so much extra space.
I'm still excited about the spare room too. I'm just a little conflicted about what to do with that space I know I want it to be black and gray with a millennial pink as a pop of color. But the problem is I have this whole room to do whatever I want with. The room is like a standard bedroom size with a closet and all I have for the room is my makeup desk area and a book shelf with my knick knacks. So I have all this empty space and blank walls I dont know what to do with.
Our living room is really big, I love it we are excited to get some cute wall art to fill the space. The dining room too we still have to bring the table from the old apartment but I'm ready for it to be all set up and have our place looking all cozy and feeling like a home. I think it's really important to get our home feeling like home. Being a Navy Wife being 3,000 miles away from our family making our apartment feel like home is super important for me. Especially in the holidays coming up! I feel blessed to Be able to afford like all the cute home decor and make Halloween feel like Halloween and Thanksgiving with only me and my wife feel like Thanksgiving and making Christmas feel like Christmas! The holidays are for family time and it makes us miss our family. Creating a cute fun memory adulting and celebrating the holidays as a little family of us 2 with our pup is really important because it makes us miss home a little less.
That was so off topic but this was just an update so I'm ready this week to be up and posting again. Excited with a ton of new ideas mostly home decor maybe some diys and definitely friday finds!
