14 Tips to Effortlessly Save Money

  1. Unsubscribe from all the unnecessary emails. Preferably from all of them, I'll probably keep 1 or 2. I just deleted 300 emails and unsubscribed to 90% of them I feel so much better.
  2. Try meal planning, doesn't have to be crazy with all the Tupperware and same meals every day. But just plan your meals a week ahead, know what you're going to have what day. I was just planning yesterday out the meal plan for the week and I'm excited about my week.
  3. Don't eat out. Limit yourself to like once a month. I just challenged my wife to no eating out for the month of December! I think I can beat her!
  4. Don't go to the grocery store hungry! Because then you buy things that sound yummy and not what you actually need.
  5. No credit cards, if you don't have credit cards you won't have to do payments, you won't spend money you don't have. Keep them at home cut them up cancel them do what works for you. Were paying some credit cards off and never using them again and it feels so good.
  6. Pay in cash. You're more cautious with what you use your money on when you spend cash instead of swiping your debit card.
  7. Listen to Dave Ramsey, Read The Total Money Makeover. My wife bought me The Total Money Makeover as an early Christmas gift because I've been obsessing over Dave Ramsey and you should too. You'll learn something and if not its just really entertaining to hear how much of a hot mess other people can be.
  8. Don't Groupon you don't need that it just shows you things you don't actually need to spend money on.
  9. You don't need the heater on 24/7. Just throw a warm sweater on and cozy sweatpants.
  10. Waste less food, Eat leftovers, get over it you weirdo's that don't like leftovers!
  11. Get rid of cable. Just have Internet, have wifi you can find anything you need to watch somewhere online.
  12. Get rid of bank fees. stop overspending getting overdrafts. I have Navy Federal so I also don't get any other monthly fees. So just find yourself a nice better bank.
  13. Pay your bills on time, don't get late fees. If you do just call they'll most likely remove the fee if you give them a call.
  14. Drink at home or not at all. When I order a drink when we go out it adds like 10-20$ to our check so just drink a coke, have your beer at home, you don't need that.
You'll feel so much better after you try these changes in your daily life. You'll be more organized, healthier, have more $$$ in your life, less stress & more happiness. Why wouldn't you try these tips? I have a couple small goals in my life that include being debt free & healthier so these will help me with that.
